I don’t want to deter you from buying this book BUT I do want to emphasize a part of this book that caught my attention early on and kept me reading.
I am sharing this portion of the book with you because these ineffective parenting styles are destructive. There were bits and pieces of these two styles that I could see in myself as well as in my husband. Thankfully, we took this portion of the book as constructive criticism and made a few very important changes with which we have no regrets.
The ineffective parenting styles are:
Helicopter Parents & Drill Sergeant Parents.
The next couple of posts will touch on those two styles of parenting. If you see yourself in either of those descriptions then you may benefit from this book.
If you feel that your parenting style doesn’t fall in either of those categories OR that your ideas on parenting supersede anything that anyone could ever point out to you then this book may still be for you.
There is no such thing as the perfect parent and it’s never too late to learn something new whether your child is 5 years old or 17 years old.
It’s never too late to adjust your views on parenting.
