10 On Tues: Psalm 139: 13-16
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a 10 on Tues so here goes nothing…
1.) I guess I forgot to wish y’all a Happy Easter. We had a Great Easter. The kids had a blast & Fiona got to see the movie Hop at a friend’s birthday party. I’ve been meaning to take Kinsley to see that movie while Fiona is in school but we have not had the time to do so. I’ve heard mixed reviews but overall I think the kids like that movie.
2.) AWANA season has ended. Next fall the girls will both be in Sparks. Cool Beans, eh? My goal is to follow them through the programming at church and try to continue to work with the kids. I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering. We look forward to it every Wednesday. I will admit that it’s nice to be on a break.
3.) We celebrated my nephew’s first holy communion. As an Aunt I could not be prouder of my nephew. Last year we celebrated my niece’s first holy communion so I made sure to remember to try and capture a sunset at the end of the day. I will try and post some pictures of each of these events later. It’s just been too busy to do so lately.
4.) Last week was Fiona’s school carnival. I can’t believe it’s the end of the school year. The weather has changed drastically too. Not even a month ago it was snowing! Today it feels like summer and then on Thursday it’s supposed to get back down into the 40’s with high of 70-something. Crazy Nebraska Weather!!
5.) The house project has wrapped up. I will write more on that later. The siding is done & the new gutters have been completely installed. I’m sure we’ll be getting an invoice soon. All we have left to do is paint the front door, replace the glass door making it white vinyl, replace the rails on the front porch, paint the posts white, paint the garage door, install the new lights, and paint all the cinder blocks. It feels like we have a totally different house. I think it looks much better & the extra layer on the house itself is going to be wonderful.
6.) I have fallen off the workout wagon but am trying to get back on it. In fact, we are headed to the gym today. I plan on power walking outside with my sister-in-law and then we are going to attack the hill on the side of the gym at the end of our walk. It’s hot today so that means we are about to sweat like pigs.
7.) I got Kinsley all registered for Kindergarten. We are excited because she will have the same Kindergarten teacher that Fiona had. We love this teacher. She should win Teacher of the Year. That’s how good she is. I know that Kinsley is going to love being in Kindergarten and can hardly wait. I’ll have to tell you later how her Kindergarten physical went down though. It’s a pretty interesting story and one that I need to document just so I don’t forget it.
8.) I know on Sundays random bible verses and what-not pop up on the blog. That’s because I have blogged ahead while reading one of my books. I’m going to start doing that on a regular basis as I read so even though I haven’t been blogging as regularly as I would like to you’ll still get some odd-ball posts every now and again. By all means, leave a comment and tell me what you think. I love comments and I enjoy hearing a different perspective. Okay, I like it when I can get some encouragement too. It’s nice.
9.) I have so many fun and interesting things to look forward to this summer but can’t really get into it all right now. I guess I’ll just have to blog it as it happens OR get you caught up after-the-fact.
10.) Mothers Day was bittersweet for me BUT overall I had a great Mothers Day. I really enjoyed my time with my family and I have never felt as loved as I do today. All the glory and credit goes to my sweet Father in heaven who has loved me from the beginning.
Psalm 139: 13-16
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
