Heartworms and Beads
Yesterday after dinner the girls had fun with beads. Clara from next door came over and joined in on the fun too. They all decided they wanted to make necklaces. At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to have enough material for everyone to have a necklace but at the end of the day there was plenty to go around.
I think they had a lot of fun. Kinsley was pretty proud of her design and there was lots of discussion about patterns and how much of this and that they could put in the center of their necklaces. We also talked a lot about “eye-balling” it to figure out the center of their creations.
Camp Kindness was fun for them as well. I found out that they learned what a heart-worm was and they even got to see a real live heart-worm along with some cat eye balls and all sorts of animal parts. This camp is perfect for the animal lover and those kids who want to learn about the nitty gritty of how to take care of animals. They also got to pair up with a dog which they called their “buddy.”
I thought I was going to be able to hit the gym while they were all at camp kindness but I had no such luck. Kinsley was so tired she napped the entire time the older girls were at camp. I think she is going through a growth spurt because she keeps saying that her bones hurt.
